Tsinghua (Qingdao) Academy of Arts and Science Innovation Research (TASA) is a municipal public institution jointly established by Tsinghua University, Qingdao Municipal People's Government, and the Administrative Committee of Qingdao West Coast New Area based on the AADTHU. It was officially registered in Qingdao in December 2018. The Academy is located in Qingdao West Coast New Area, covering an area of more than 180 mu (12 hectares) with a floor area of about 130,000 m². The Academy gives full play to the advantages of design discipline and talents of Tsinghua University and the location and industrial advantages of Qingdao. It is committed to building an international first-class training, R&D, incubation and service base through the integration and innovation of art and science, the transformation of achievements, the incubation of enterprises, the talent training, entrepreneur services, art and cultural exchanges and dissemination and other university-local government cooperation modes.

Who we are looking for

1.Responsible for coordinating the design center's team and subordinate sub-platforms to accomplish the design tasks assigned by the superior departments and organize the relevant work reporting;

2.Responsible for the design center's project cooperation negotiation, coordinating the development, launch, technology transfer and achievement transformation of projects;

3.Responsible for the construction, management and optimization of the design center's team to ensure that the core professional team of the Academy stays at a high level at all times;

4.Responsible for the comprehensive management and coordination of the design center in matters such as subject declaration, qualification validation, trademark-related legal affairs of development and collaborative projects;

5.Responsible for coordinating the technical or design team of the design center to provide professional technical support to all departments and centers of the Academy and to establish design specifications for major projects;

6.Responsible for the daily management and operation of the design center and its subordinate special-purposed sub-platforms;

7.Participating in the construction of the public technology platform of the Academy and providing technical support to the publicity and operation departments;

8.Other affairs arranged by the superior departments of the Academy.

1.Candidates majoring in art and design, with a full-time undergraduate degree or above. Working experience in the design department of large enterprises, overseas study, or overseas working is preferred;

2.Eight years or above of experience in the design industry, 3 years and above of experience in middle and senior positions, with solid professional skills and creative design capabilities;

3.A high level of comprehensive design and evaluation ability, in professional directions including but not limited to industrial design, product design, visual communication, environmental art, and exhibition art;

4.Excellent leadership and organizational skills, communication and coordination skills and overall control skills, with the “big picture” in mind and systematic thinking, and good at integrating resources;

5.Good writing and verbal communication skills;

6.Good communication skills and team player with a positive work attitude;

7.A good sense of responsibility, dedication and team spirit.

1.Responsible for the launch, management, implementation and reporting of the design center's projects, organizing the team to complete different tasks orderly such as the positioning of research, brainstorming, design execution, and result implementation;

2.Responsible for cooperating with the center's director to lead and train the design team and conduct design training for the team;

3.Participating in the application, launch, development, design research and technology transfer of major design projects;

4.Participating in the coordination of the technical or design team of the design center to provide professional technical support to all departments and centers of the Academy and to establish design specifications for major projects;

5.Participating in the daily management and operation of the design center and its subordinate special-purposed sub-platforms;

6.Participating in the construction of the public technology platform of the Academy and providing technical support to the publicity and operation departments;

7.Other affairs arranged by the superior departments of the Academy.

1.Open to bachelor's degree holders or above in all majors, with more than 5 years of professional experience in industrial design or environmental art design, strong aesthetic and artistic ability. Experience of working for the design unit of large enterprises, overseas study or overseas professional practice is preferred;

2.Ability to independently accomplish all design-related work within the entire design process and his/her own major and to make independent proposals;

3.Proficient in design software, winner of international award(s) as a team or individually for design and experience of working on key tasks in relevant design work;

4.Strong learning ability, and ability to quickly adapt to the needs of a project for different knowledge systems;

5.Good communication skills and team player with a positive work attitude;

6.A good sense of responsibility, dedication and team spirit.

1.Participating in the implementation of the design center's projects and the research of design methods;

2.Participating in the daily operation and management of the design center;

3.Interfacing with different departments of the Academy to complete the work requirements for graphic design;

4.Assisting the departmental head in arranging and completing various design tasks;

5.Other affairs arranged by the superior departments of the Academy.

1. Holder of Bachelor's degree or above, with a professional education background in industrial design, product design, environmental art design, architectural design and other art and design disciplines;

2. Work experience is not a must. Proficiency in design-related software, winner of domestic and/or international well-known design award(s) as a team or individually, and experience of working on major tasks in relevant design work;

3. Proficiency in design-related software, and strong ability in design transformation, scientific research, writing, communication and learning;

4. Good communication skills and team player with a positive work attitude.
